Miley Cyrus is the star of Disney’s fantastic show Hannah Montana. She was born on November 23 1992 with the name Destiny Hope Cyrus but she got the nickname Miley because she was always smiling! Later in life she started using the name Miley because she preferred it to Destiny.

Miley auditioned for a role in Disney’s Hannah Montana show when she was 12 years old. At first, the show’s producers thought Miley was too young for the show, but she proved to them that she could handle it and they cast her in the lead role! Miley plays American teenager Miley Stewart, whose alter ego is popstar Hannah Montana!
In 2006 Disney released the Hannah Montana soundtrack which included tracks that Miley had performed on the show. In 2007 Miley released the album “Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus” which was the 2nd Hannah Montana CD and the second disc was Miley’s first SOLO album! Miley wrote 8 out of the 10 songs.
In 2008 Miley released her second album “Breakout” which was her first CD not to be linked to her character Hannah Montana, which she is thought to be distancing herself from as she builds her career.
